Research and Study
Use the websites in the live binder to research the potential risks musicians face with regard to hear loss and damage. You will take the post test after completing your research. Download and print the research study guide and complete prior to taking the Post test.

Final Project: Part 1
Create a PSA (public service announcement) power point slide that could be used to help inform Ragsdale students about the dangers and health hazards associated with performing and listening to loud music. Additionally, create a "business card" with hearing health factoids that we will print and hand out during arts and athletic events. Be sure to include citations for all your sources!
Grading:
Content - 50 points (is your information accurate and complete, including citations)
Creativity - 25 points (is your slide and business card visually appealing)
Relevance - 25 points (does your factoid and information pertain to students at Ragsdale)
Finished slides and business cards must be emailed to Mr. Leib (leibaATgcsnc.com) no later than Tuesday Nov. 8th .

Final Project: Part 2
Research different ear protection/ear plug companies. read reviews of different ear plugs and decide on a ear protection company you like best. Write a formal letter the your chosen company asking for the to sponsor our class project. Be sure to include the follow items:

Persuasiveness - 50 points
- Tell them who you are, where you are from
- Explain the scope of our class project (raise awareness of noise induced hearing loss)
- Tell them how this project has changed your mindset when it comes to hearing protection
- Tell them some facts about what you've learned.
- Ask for a donation/sponsorship for our project (Include how many ear plugs you want donated)
- Explain the benefits to their company for sponsoring our project (logos on flyers/programs)
- Mailing address of the company
